It is a "High Magic" time in my studio

"It is hard to look at the book. Its aura pulses with magical energies that radiate far into the world around it. Everybody can see the magic, but no one has the ability to tap into these energies. It seems like a cruel joke, for us mighty wizards, to feel so powerless in front of such a shabby common magical item. Araleth casts a protection spell and tries to touch the book. Suddenly, a blue protective crackling field appears around it, and Araleth falls, his robes still burning. If Araleth cannot touch it, it is a book of great power, perhaps an artifact. We need to seal the tomb and leave this accursed place.

Young Eanfled is running towards her fallen master, screaming. I try to stop her, but she is determined. I close my eyes not to see her destruction, but nothing happens. The aura of the spell book has changed to gold and Eanfled says dazed "This is the Wispering Wind itself. The Spellbook of Elbereth the Dark!""

Oh yes, my studio has become a place of high magical energy the last couple of months. This pocket grimoire is the last of my Spellbook collection, along with one more of Irinna’s Dragons. After these two, the magic circle will close for at least 8 months.

This is why I love this job. I can express myself in so many ways. And I know that my creations, help others express themselves, so I am double happy!

I am working on a very large book right now, and I am really happy, as it has been some time, since I had a really large one to make. People prefer smaller journals nowadays, but large books are so fulfilling - however challenging!

I am planning to take a break from making new books for November and December, as Christmas craziness has already started at the shop, and I need to keep my sanity this year.

And after this, who knows? Maybe it will be Travel Journals or Diaries or Sketchbooks…. Only time will tell!
